The arrangement makes it possible to simulate process control by a program-controlled computer in which a process control program is stored. As in actual process control, the computer is assigned an input interface, via which the computer is fed measured-value signals which indicate the actual values of physical variables decisive for the process, and an output interface, via which the computer emits control signals for final control elements for influencing the physical variables if their actual values do not correspond to the set values specified by the process control program. However, the system required for carrying out the technical process and the measuring sensors and final control elements arranged in the system do not exist; these components are replaced by a measuring-sensor simulator arrangement and a final-control-element display. The measuring-sensor simulator arrangement includes for each physical variable to be detected a measuring-sensor simulator, which emits an adjustable measured-value signal which corresponds to the measured-value signal emitted by a measuring sensor for the same physical variable and is fed to the input interface, and the final-control-element display includes for each physical variable to be detected a display device, controlled by the computer, for displaying the deviation from the set value. On the basis of the display of the deviation of a physical variable from its set value, the user can ... Original abstract incomplete. <IMAGE>
