Landing and take-off carriage - especially an emergency landing carriage - for aircraft

A take-off and landing aid for aircraft, especially a landing aid in emergency situations, can be provided in that a carriage which runs on rails on the runway - optionally - also on wheels is accelerated so greatly that it precisely reaches the speed of the landing aircraft, and the aircraft then sets down on the carriage, any non-uniform setting down which may occur in emergencies being compensated for. In this case, the aircraft is anchored on the carriage, and the carriage is braked so that it can subsequently leave the carriage. Adjustable supporting and holding devices are fitted on the carriage cover, which devices are aligned to the characteristics of the individual aircraft type. This applies just as much to the devices which are present on the carriage for emergency and catastrophe cases: water and chemical extinguishing means, air bags, apparatuses for forced entry into the cabin, rescue apparatus for emergency evacuation etc. By means of additional apparatuses, fog can be dispersed, snow cleared from the runway, and specific aircraft types can be refuelled and loaded automatically. The carriage remains fully serviceable for carrying out landings and take-offs even when the runway and/or weather conditions existing are completely unsuitable for taking off or landing otherwise. In the event of emergency landings, catastrophic consequences can under some circumstances be effectively reduced or completely prevented. Overall, a considerable reduction in the danger risk may result.
