The invention relates to a round comb for combing machines, with a needle segment having profiled bars and needle carrier strips clamped between the profiled bars, in which round comb the profiled bars are arranged between two end pieces, bear against guides and are supported on one another. The object on which it is based is to reduce the outlay in terms of work time for the machining and mounting of the round comb. This object is achieved in that the guides (11; 12) are made eccentric - Figure 2 -. The invention achieves the technical effect that the guided surfaces of the profiled bars require no machining, and that the profiled bars do not have to be marked. <IMAGE>
