An elastic wooden tool handle is proposed which is divided into two or more parts in the longitudinal direction. The individual pieces of handle wood are held together by a tube or rings. This construction of the handle results in considerable elasticity, which is dependent upon the type and quality of the wood. The buckling movements of the tool are elastically absorbed. Breaking of the handle is virtually eliminated and the risk of an accident is reduced.
