Lady's shower cap comprises an outer head portion of woven textile and a lining of waterproof plastics film connected with the outer portion by a marginal strip with fited rubber elastic tape whilst the head portion has pleats extending towards the marginal strip. The latter is free of pleats or folds as far as a wearer's nape region, as is the textile portion as far as the wearer's occiput. All pleats of the outer head portion and in a seam that runs parallel to,and spaced from, the rubber elastic tape. The shower cap conforms with a wearer's head and hairstyle. It is of pleasing appearance when worn.
