<p>A terminal block is made with rows of contact elements operating in pairs. The block is formed from two separate sections which are fitted together like building blocks. There is a meshing code to prevent incorrect matching. It is suitable for integrated circuits to form dual in-line modules. The plastic housing, formed by the two halves of the block (1), has a pattern of holes (10) to engage the coding plugs on each half. The diameter of the plug is slightly greater than the internal diameter of the hole to form a tight fit by making use of the elastic properties of the material. The block can be fitted as an edge connector to a printed circuit board.</p> |
