PURPOSE:To extend a system without increasing equipment investment by changing the address of each card company register area in a card company table in a memory to change easily the card company of transaction processings. CONSTITUTION:An intra-card company code is stored in an area M1 of a memory 5, and an abbreviated number, etc. are stored in an area M2, and company table pointers (a) and (b) are stored in areas M3 and M4 respectively. In case of the change of contents of the card company table in the memory 5, when a card is inserted to a card reader 6, the transaction processing operation is performed, and an identifier of a card company card is detected, and related data is stored in the area M2. discrimination and decision are performed with respect to registration of the storage range of the abbreviated number in the area designated by the pointer (a), and registration is changed. The card company table and the abbreviated number stored in the card company card are used effectively to register and delete easily card company data, thereby extending the system without increasing equipment investment. |
