The subject matter of the invention is an electropneumatic hammer-drilling machine in which the anvil acting on the tool shank is guided in an axially displaceable manner in the spindle sleeve accommodating the tool and setting the tool in rotation, and the spindle sleeve contains two apertures, arranged offset from one another in the peripheral direction, for accommodating locking elements for the rotary driving, locking and release of a tool shank provided with two corresponding recesses. The object of the invention is to develop an electropneumatic hammer-drilling machine to the effect that it is also suitable for other tool designs without the use of an adaptor. This object is achieved according to the invention in that the output-side spindle-sleeve end projecting axially from the housing of the hammer-drilling machine first of all contains a threaded section (3) for accommodating a slotted nut (12) forming a component of a tool carrier, adjoining which threaded section (3) is a hollow-cylindrical guide part (4), of smaller outside diameter, which merges into a centring section (5) of outside diameter reduced still further, and in that the apertures (6, 6') for the locking elements (11, 11') as well as at least one transverse bore (7, 7') are provided in the guide part (4), the apertures extending into the centring section (5), having the smallest diameter, of the end of the spindle sleeve ...
