Pickup system with two input locations for controlling a generating set

A pickup system is described having a tension-compression cable and two pickups, a direct pickup and a remote pickup, for controlling a generating set. By means of the direct pickup, the generating set can be driven into three different control positions, but only into two control positions by means of the remote pickup. If the generating set is controlled by means of the direct pickup, the remote pickup takes part in the movement into two control positions, but stops and is blocked in that position if the direct pickup is driving towards the third position. As concrete embodiments of said pickup system, two remote pickups are described which are both provided with unilaterally releasable couplings. In one example, said coupling comprises a pin/slot connection, and in the other example it comprises a rack-and-pinion connection with, in each case, only partial cogging.
