A temperature-dependent or pressure-dependent electromechanical switching device (1) has at least one lever (11) which is supported such that it can pivot, is loaded against the force of an adjustable restoring spring (18) by a pressure-movement element (5) (which is acted on by pressure and operates the switching processes) and acts on an electrical snap switch (33). In order that the switching on and switching off of an electrical apparatus can be controlled independently of one another, via a single structural unit, by means of two different measurement points, and in order that the switching device (1) has a simple construction and a small structural size, a second lever (12) having a separate, adjustable restoring spring (19) and a separate pressure-movement element (6) is provided which likewise acts on the snap switch (33) in the opposite direction, and the snap switch (33) can move in a reciprocating manner between two stable switching positions. <IMAGE>
