The pipe cluster type heat transfer system is used for water or oil circulation in marine diesel engines. The heat exchanger life is prolonged by ensuring that aggressive fluids are not always in contact with regions subject to corrosion damage. The connections, opening and fasteners of the pipe cluster heat exchanger have an envelope enclosing this cluster. This chamber has end chambers which form a frame and cover. The connections, openings and fasteners of the envelope and the frames are arranged as mirror images on the inlet and outlet end to the plane at right angles to the longitudinal axis.
