The elastic mounting assembly for an engine is used to absorb high frequency sound vibrations as well as vibrations of larger amplitudes. A cylindrical pot (3) is partly filled with a fluid of very high velocity (9). A reinforced flexible membrane (2) is bonded to the inside edge of the housing (3), to obtain a sealed chamber (10). The air space above the damper fluid (9) is pressurised to support the membrane (2), which at its centre locates the external mounting bolt (4). An internal extension of the mounting bolt (11) is provided with radial vanes (13) submerged in the damper fluid to increase the frequency range that can be dampened.
