In order to damp the springing-up movement of a component, for example the covering flap of the make-up mirror, it is proposed that this component drag a small magnet with it during its movement, which magnet slides on ferromagnetic material. The springing-up movement of the covering flap, which is caused by spring force, is damped by the friction force between the magnet and the ferromagnetic material, possibly with an intermediate layer.
