Fabric draw-off device on a weaving machine

A fabric draw-off roller (2) is operatively connected to the main shaft (1) of the weaving machine via regulating means. The regulating means comprise a variable-speed motor (4) which is drive-connected to the fabric draw-off roller (2) and which is preceded by a regulating-circuit arrangement (6) for influencing the weft-thread density on the drawn-off fabric in dependence at least on the rotary-angle position of the main shaft (1) of the weaving machine. This regulating-circuit arrangement (6) comprises a modulator (7) which is operatively connected to the variable-speed motor (4) and which converts the control commands of a programme stage (8) preprogrammable via an input unit (9) into control signals for the variable-speed motor, the programme stage (8) being connected to at least one rotary-angle pulse transmitter (10) on the main shaft (10) for receiving signals corresponding to the rotary-angle position of the main shaft (1) and to the control-circuit arrangement (11) of the weaving machine for receiving information signals relating to the instantaneous functioning of the weaving machine. This arrangement makes it possible to adjust the draw-off speed and therefore the weft-thread density on the fabric in small steps and without an exchange or adjustment of mechanical means. <IMAGE>
