PURPOSE:To prevent color mis-alignment by applying recording/carrying while a tension is exerted to recording paper through forwarding/reversing a platen so as to improve the alignment accuracy in color recording. CONSTITUTION:Paper 13 is loaded at first, a thermal head 16 is pressed onto the platen 14, a motor 15 forwards the platen 14 and feeds the paper 13 together with a thermal transfer sheet 11. No recording is attained in this case. Then the tip of the fed paper is detected and after it is stored in a storage means 22, the platen 14 is reversed, the paper 13 is restored to apply a tension to the paper 13. The thermal head is pressed onto the platen 14 again in this state to forward the platen 14 and record the paper by the 1st color. Since the paper 13 fed from the platen 14 is clipped on the tip, the paper forms a loop, and multi-color recording is applied by repeating the procedure for plural number of times and a color picture without color mis-alignment is obtained. |
