发明名称 GLOW CONTROL DEVICE FOR DIESEL ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve combustibility of an engine and reduce its noise and vibration, by detecting a delay time of firing in injected fuel and electrifying a glow plug when the delay time of firing increases longer than a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:When a Diesel engine 10 is started by turning on a power supply, an electronic control device 20 first calculates a speed on the basis of the output of a crank angle reference signal detector 17. Next the device 20, under a condition electrifying a glow plug 14, calculates both a permissible delay time of firing, when the flow is electrified, from a two-dimensional map of a speed and injection timing and an actual delay time of firing on the basis of an output from an injection timing detector 22. Subsequently, the device 20, comparing this actual delay time of firing with the permissible delay time of firing, outputs an on-signal for electrifying the glow plug 14 when the former time is larger than the latter time while an off-signal for cutting off the electrification to the glow plug 14 when the delay time is in a reverse relation.
