PURPOSE:To enable a strip coil storing facility as referred to the titled to be simplyfied with the floor space utilization efficiency augmented by arranging both a rail with a coil storing stand to the longitudinal direction and a rail to the transversal direction which is used for receiving and shipping in such a way that a car with a coil lifting and supporting device can travel on both the rails. CONSTITUTION:A coil S which has been placed on a coil delivery stand 7a is transversally moved on a rail 2 which is installed transversally by means of a working beam 8 while it is supported by a car 6, then is transferred to a receiving stand 7b in the specified row. Subsequently, a car 5 goes in under the coil receiving stand 7b, where the coil is received while it is lifted up by a coil lifting and supporting device (not shown), then the coil is moved to a specified stand 4 on the rail 1 which is longitudinally installed, and is finally transferred to the specified stand 4. In the case that the coil is shipped out, the operation concerned is similarly effected by using the car 5, the rail to the transversal direction, and another car 6. This configuration enables the structure of the facility to be simplyfied, and both the floor space utilization efficiency and the working efficiency to be augmented while the crane is eliminated. |
