PURPOSE:To perform precise detection, to reduce the scale of a signal processing circuit and also to reduce its power consumption by reading outputs of photodetecting element arrays for definition detection and lateral shift detection through a common time-series signal transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Photodetecting element arrays 11 and 31 for lateral shift and definition detection is provided with a common CCD transfer path 41 and photodetecting element arrays 12 and 32 for lateral shift and definition detection is provided with a common CCD transfer path 42. Either of outputs of the element arrays 11 and 31 is selected and read out through the common transfer path 41, and an output is also read out similarly through the transfer path 42. The signals read out successively through the transfer paths 41 and 42 are amplified by amplifiers 43 and 44, so only two amplifiers are enough and the power consumption is reduced. |
