PURPOSE:To obtain a shielding effect without using a shielding plate, excellent assembly workability, and cost reduction by setting a side wall higher so as to protrude from the sealing surface of a panel to the neck side and widely forming the bottom so that an electron beam cannot collide against the said side wall. CONSTITUTION:The side wall 10a of a support frame 10 is formed higher so as to protrude from the sealing surface 16 of a panel 13 and a funnel 15 to the neck side. In addition, the bottom 10b of a support frame 10 is formed widely so that an electron beam can be prevented from colliding against the said side wall 10a. As a result, since side wall 10a is formed higher, it cuts off the electron beam that arrives at a phosphor screen 13a passing through the support frame 10 and bulbs 13 and 15 and is also provided with an effect that screens the effect of an external magnetic field. In other words, the side wall 10a has the outside electron shield and inner shield characteristics. In addition, since the bottom 10b is widely formed, the same effect as the inside electron shield can be obtained. |
