Self release mechanism for aerosol canister - is located in cylindrical housing with trigger release for manually operated valve

A self release mechanism uses an aerosol canister with a manually operated valve. A cylindrical housing of two parts(1a, 1b) screwed together contains a small aerosol canister(2). The nozzle end(11) of the canister is retained against the inside surface of the housing and is held in position by a trigger valve(5) that presses a latch(6) against the rear surface of the canister. Gas is released from the orifice(12) by operating the trigger to allow the nozzle valve to open. The unit may be incorporated into the handle of an umbrella.
