Wound capacitor rating marking - uses embossed stamp applied to last turn inside during winding

The wound capacitor with a plastics dielectric is marked by an embossed picture which is applied during the capacitor winding to the inside of the last turns of the dielectric. Preferably hot embossing is used. This marking has the advantage that it is not exposed to abrading and natural wear. It also replaces use of any sticking foils. The location of the embossed image on the last winding turns enables easy readability from outside.
