PURPOSE:To prevent the magnetron from damage due to an inadvertent microwave heating by a method wherein the weight of a food to be heated is measured, the heating is controlled by the weight, that is, when the weight is less than the designated value, the heating is not started, or the heating is stopped after the predetermined heating time. CONSTITUTION:A weight measuring means 9 is composed of a weight sensor, an oscillation circuit and a calculating circuit, outputs a signal corresponding to the weight of the weight sensor. By corresponding to said signal, a heating time judging means 10 transmits the signal to a heating stopping means 11, then the energizing for a heating means 5 is stopped. For instance, when the weight of a food is less than 20g, the heating time judging means 10 transmits immediately the signal for stopping a microwave heating to the heating stopping means 11 corresponding to the weight measuring value signal from the weight measuring means 9. The meaning of the food weight is less than 20g indicates that no food is introduced into the heating chamber. When the weight is less than 50g, the food is heated only in one minute, and then the heating can be stopped. |
