PURPOSE:To lessen the burden of beams by using the ground improver rest mechanism for a soft ground improving ship consisting of a coupling beam which can be projected or drawn in the horizontal direction and an actuator to reciprocally move the beam. CONSTITUTION:A coupling bead 5 is provided through a guide plate 7 and a fixing part 8 for preventing floating to the tower of a soft ground improving ship. The beam 5 is reciprocally moved in the horizontal direction by the actuator 6, e.g., oil-pressure jack, etc. In fixing the ground improver 2 to the tower for inspection, the actuator 6 is driven, the beam 5 is projected toward the horizontal direction, and the improver 2 is rested on the beam 5. Since only the bending moment by the cantilever acts on the beam 5, the weight of the rest beam can be reduced. |
