PURPOSE:To record a recording medium with rough surface in high quality by applying a liquid to the surface to be recorded of a recording medium during recording so that the surface to be recorded is smoothed. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 4 is displaced in an arrow direction D and is pressed against the front surface to be recorded 2a of a recording paper 2 through an ink ribbon 7 to be followed by the pressing of a pressure roller 17 against the surface to be recorded 2a by the displacement of the thermal head 4 during the start of recording. A printing part is shifted in an arrow direction A, and a clear ink 16 is applied to the surface to be recorded 2a in an ink roller 15 by the pressure roller 17 to fill the concave part of the surface to be recorded 2a so that the surface to be recorded 2a is smoothed. |
