<p>PURPOSE:To balance weight without causing a shock, through a weight balance controller for a machine tool, by previously storing signals for the weights of replaced articles, and applying adjusting oil pressure on the basis of the signals at the time of replacement to absorb a weight change. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece W1 in a balanced state is replaced with a heavier workpiece W2, the weight of the workpiece W2 is read out from a program 32 and a numerical controller 34 sends out a weight signal to a sequence control circuit 30. The signal is applied to a pressure regulator 38. A voltage corresponding to the weight signal is sent out from a switch circuit 42 to an oil pressure switch 46, which acts on the basis of the voltage to operate a hydraulic pump 56 and a hydraulic cylinder 58 through a pressure reduction valve 50 to apply predetermined oil pressure to a table 62 to cope with the weight of the new workpiece W2. Balance is thus achieved quickly without causing a shock, regardless of the change in weight.</p> |
