PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of images due to the lack of pressing of a blade by controlling a force, with which the blade which controls the thickness of a developer to supply the developer to a sleeve presses the sleeve, to control the supply of the developer. CONSTITUTION:One end of a blade 6 consisting of an elastic material is stuck to a hopper 1, and the other end is brought into contact with a sleeve 5, and a toner sent by a toner supply roll 4 has the thickness in the axial direction uniformed and is distributed uniformly on the sleeve 5 and is sent to a developing part C to develop an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body 7. A cam 10 turning around a shaft 9 is provided in the side of the blade 6 opposite to the sleeve 5 to constitute a pressure governing means 10. The cam 10 is turned by a control means omitted in the figure to control the force with which the blade 6 presses the sleeve 5, and the quantity of the toner supplied to the sleeve 5 is controlled. Thus, the degradation of image quality due to the lack of the pressing force is prevented with a simple device. |
