A desorption step, in a process for sepg. a mixed gas by adsorption using a series of adsorption towers, is commenced by delivering a mixed gas from a tower, which has complexed adsorption during a primary pressure-reducing period, to another adsorption tower, which has an increased pressure. After termination of the desorption step, a low-pressure adsorption step is carried out in which the adsorbate constituent gas in the mixed gas is adsorbed. The present process is used in sepg. a mixed gas, such as air.
