PURPOSE:To improve the display capacity to improve the yield of production by forming a color filter on one transparent substrates of two substrates of a liquid crystal and providing a hard transparent insulating film on this color filter and providing transparent electrodes on this film. CONSTITUTION:A color filter 23 is formed on a glass substrate 21. The color filter is formed to stripes or mosaic with three colors R, G, and B normally. This filter is formed by forming a gelatin film and dying it, applying a dyed resin, or offset printing. Transparent electrodes 31 which are coated with a protective film 51, which is transparent and has a certain strength and consists of an acrylic resin, a silicone resin, a silicon oxide film, or the like, and are patterned are formed on the color filter 21. Electrodes 31 are formed with a normal ITO (indium-tin-oxide) by vapor-deposition, sputtering, or the like. Thus, a color liquid crystal panel superior in display capacity is produced with a good yield and a low cost. |
