The tube or cable can have a profile to suit its use, e.g. square or semi-circular cross-section. One surface of the tube or cable is coated with a self-adhesive layer, which may be protected by a strip which can be peeled off before installation. - Tubes or cables may be made suitable for irregular surfaces by an intermediate layer of supple material behind the adhesive layer.
