The present invention relates to a method for preparing a conducting polymer. Characteristic of the invention is that a substrate 6 is impinged, in a controlled atmosphere, with at least two gas flows. One of these gas flows contains polymerizable molecules which are a conjugated polymer after polymerization, for example molecules having triple bonds such as acetylene or aromatic molecules, for example benzene or 5-membered heterocycles, for example pyrrole. The other gas flow contains oxidizing molecules, for example FeCl3 and H202. The temperature of the substrate 6 is maintained at a value which is sufficiently low in order for the gas molecules, as a result of a long dwell time on the surface of the substrate 6, and sufficiently high in order, as a result of the said molecules having increased surface mobility, to ensure a high probability of interaction between the molecules of the gas flows. <IMAGE> |
