PURPOSE:To improve the machining accuracy by enabling power supply also from the roll drive side thereby eliminating shifted current flow and flowing averaged current entirely over the machining face. CONSTITUTION:A lathe dog 5 is contacted tightly against the parallel face 1' at the drive side of roll 1 to form a power supply face 18 and the lathe dog 5 is secured vertically at the shaft section of machine body 23 to form the power supply faces 17 on a pair of driving rods 6 planted on a disc 7. Upon rotation of disc 7 through roll drive unit, power is transmitted to the rod 6, power supply chip 14 and the lathe dog 5 thus to rotate the roll 1. Power is fed from the power source 8 to the feeders 9, 12 then through a power feed unit 3 and a brush 4 to the non-drive shaft side of roll 1 while at the drive shaft side of roll 1, power is fed from the power supply face 18 through the feeder 12, the brush 11, the sliding ring 10 on the outercircumferential face of disc 7 and the power supply chip 14. |
