<p>The in-line liquid heater comprises an elongated heating chamber with liquid inlet and outlet. The electric element which is disposed within the chamber, enters through the base and takes an elongated serpentine form. A deflector baffle at the liquid inlet, directs and disperses the liquid flow through the entire flow cross section of the chamber, preventing hot spots and improving heat transfer. - Power to the heating element is provided through relay contactors (6,7,8) controlled by a flow responsive switch (11), thermostat (10) and its associated thermocouple. Also included is a high temperature cut-out switch (9) with its thermocouple. A pressure relief valve on the outlet side prevents pressure building up in the heating chamber.</p> |
