Appts. for mfg. fibre-reinforced cement sheet material comprises a vessel for holding an aq. fibre-contg. cement slurry and an endless water-perrions belt for receiving and de-watering a layer of the slurry and arranged to move around a series of guide rollers. One of the rollers cooperates with a superposed parallel roller to define the slurry outlet. An agitator extends into the tip between the superposed roller and the belt where the belt passes around the guide roller and also across the width of the tip.
