PURPOSE:To control the output and efficiency of a plant and perform an economical and flexible plant operation capable of responding to extensive load requirements by controlling the inlet air temperature of a gas turbine compressor. CONSTITUTION:The required load signal from a power transmission terminal and the inlet air temperature signal of the compressor 2 of a gas turbine 3 are processed with an arithmetic unit, and the inlet air temperature of the compressor 2 of the gas turbine 3 is controlled via the flow control of a heat converting medium passing a heat exchanger 13 installed at the upstream section of the inlet air passage of the compressor 2. Next, if plant-required load < plant base output, the inlet air temperature is lowered so as to respond to the required load within a limit of the maximum plant output, then the performance satisfying the requirement can be obtained. If required load < minimum base output, the inlet temperature is raised to the atmospheric temperature at the minimum output. |
