<p>The process comprises reaction of racemic mixt. of the corresponding dione with an optically-active synthetic (-)-amine in an organic solvent. Fractional crystallisation of the diastereo isomeric salts permits isolation of the prod., S(+)-6-fluoro-spiro (chroman-4,4'-imidazolidine)-2',5'-dione through acid hydrolysis of the less soluble salt. - The reactions are in the 1:1 molar ratio of the stoichiometric reaction using an organic solvent.</p> |
