<p>Plate has at least one strip on one side across the plate such that when plates partially overlap on a roof the barrier allows air movement through the strip in either direction and passage of moisture from the roof interior to the exterior, while blocking inward passage of water and dust from the exterior. - The strip is pref. of upright synthetic fibres with a free length of 3-8 mm and a thickness of 0.05 mm, with the fibres forming a maze pattern, or is of latex knobs with a free height of 3-8 mm and also forming a maze pattern, the knobs being impregnated with silicone. The plate may be moulded, with the fibres placed in a mould groove, or the fibres may be attached to adhesive on the plate before curing or may be secured to the plate before this is cured. The fibres are e.g. of polyamide.</p> |
