<p>The monorail overhead conveyor has a rail (12) which can be connected either to a straight extension (13) or to a side rail (14). The switch points consist of a fixed frame (1) which supports a sliding carriage (2). The latter carries a length of a curved rail (6) and a length of straight rail (8). - The sliding carriage is moved at right angles to the straight rail length between two extreme positions by a motor (4). In one position the straight rail length connects the conveyor rail to the straight extension, and in the other position the curved rail connects the conveyor rail to the side rail. The sliding carriage may be adapted to carry a curved rail on either the left-or right-hand side or on both.</p> |
