Thiazolidine deriv. of formula (I) are new. R = 1-4C alkyl or phenyl; R1 = OR4 and R2 = H, or R1 and R2 together form a bond; R4 = 1-8C alkyl, 5-6C cycloalkyl, cycloahexylmethyl, allyl, propargyl or opt. s-bstd. phenyl or benzyl, the opt. substituents being up to 3 in number and being selected from halogen, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, nitro and trifluoromethyl; X = O or S; R3 = same values as R4, but not 3,5-dichlorophenyl. - Ethyl N-phenylcarbamoyl-2-methyl -thiazolidine-2-carboxylate; 6,7a-dimethyl-per hydro -imidazo-(5,1-b)-thiazol-5,7 dione and the corresp. 6-phenyl-7a-methyl-, 7a-phenyl-6-methyl- and 6-ethyl-7a-phenyl-cpds. are specifically claimed.
