PURPOSE:To prevent the concentration of plural different types of ink on the same picture element by changing a threshold address in a dither/matrix in terms of the corresponding relation of each color. CONSTITUTION:One line in a dither/matrix is stored in shift registers Sry, Srm, Src and Srb in respective binarization circuits beforehand, and the specific line is repeated by rotation outputs of these shift registers. First, thresholds corresponding to the 1st line of the matrix are read out, distributed by a gate circuit G, and loaded to the shift registers Sry, Srm, Src and Srb of 16 bits. Whenever respective color data, Dy, Dn, Dc and Db arrive, said thresholds are shifted by a transfer clock SC of the output of a clock controller CLC, and the 1st line of the matrix is rotated. When the printing of the 1st line is completed, an address control circuit reads out thresholds in the 2nd line. |
