A training device for boxing comprising a base frame (1) which can be driven and a vertically adjustable training figure (2) which is fastened to the base frame (1) by means of a resilient element (6) and comprises movable striking arms which are equipped with boxing gloves, characterized in that the base frame (1) comprises two separate drive wheels (7), which can be operated by an alterable program and by radio control, and at least one freely movable pivotable wheel (8) which is not driven, in that the training figure (2) is mounted, so that it is adjustable horizontally, on a leaf spring (6) which forms the resilient element and which is equipped with a movement-dependent transmitter (14) for a stroke counting device and with an impact absorber (5), and in that the striking arms consist of movable components comprising a shoulder element (28), an upper arm (20), a lower arm (18) and a striking hand (19) fixed to the latter, there being associated with the arms at least one blow producing drive mechanism (M 3) and a transmission mechanism.
