PURPOSE:To make smaller and highly reliable by facing a light emitting element and a photodetector for all bits of a talken card and electrically scanning them. CONSTITUTION:A talken card reading part 2 is composed of a light emitting element part 10 and a photodetector part 11 where a light emitting element 101 and a photodetector 201 are respectively arranged in 8 rows and 12 columns. These light emitting element and photodetector 101 and 201 are arranged facing the same position of a row and a column with a talken card 20 between, and are the same dimensions as those of a hole position of the talken card 20. When the inserted talken card is read, first a counter 16 is reset, from ''0'' to 11 are counted up, scanning is executed in a row direction for every column and the data are read. |
