<p>PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to specify a point group for each of elements such as lines, arcs, etc. and to simplify the point group specifying operation by specifying point groups on an outline consisting of several segments, arcs, etc. by a simple method and obtaining position coordinate values of point groups to generate NC data. CONSTITUTION:Various outlines are defined preliminarily, and outline data are inputted together with thier names and are stored in an RAM of an NC data generating device. The outline is approximated by several segments S, arcs C, elliptic parts E, and parabolas B, and individual elements are specified continuously to define the outline; and when data for specifying a point group on the outline is inputted, the outline name is inputted because a question asking the name of the outline is displayed on a screen. Similarly, the type of the point group is inputted for a question asking the type of the point group which is displayed on the screen, and a question asking a division number (n) is displayed by a processor when a type A is inputted, and (n) is inputted for this question. This processing is repeated while point groups to be specified remain, and thus, definition of all point groups is terminated. Thereafter, these inputted data are used to obtain position coordinate values of individual points constituting point groups, and cycle instruction data which are inputted separately and define a series of motions are used to generate NC data.</p> |
