PURPOSE:To enable the width of a device to be small and ground clearance to be adjustable by configurating the device in such a manner that the middle of a leaf-spring which is extended to the direction of one end of a trailing arm, is supported by a support assembly which is movable but is kept at an equal distance in regard to the body side center of swing motion of the spring. CONSTITUTION:A geared motor 48 is powered with a slide switch on, then a movable block 51 is moved with an electrically driven bolt 50 rotated allowing a swing plate 38 to rotate around a pin 32. This causes a roller 6 to move allowing a trailing arm 4 to swing around a horizontal axis 3 resulting in the up and down movement of ground clearance. At this time as the roller 6 makes a circular motion with center at the pin 32, no change in the support point of the leaf-spring 5 by the roller 6 is effected. This configuration enables a suspension to be adjustable for ground clearance and to be suitable for a low floor car with the small width of a device provided. |
