PURPOSE:To acquire oscillations in knocking exactly and speedily by holography by providing a crank angle detector, ignition period controller, pulse laser controller, two-pulse laser light emitting device, etc. CONSTITUTION:The crank angle detector 2 is fitted to an engine 1 and connected to the ignition period controller 3. Then, the controller 3 set ignition timing for normal operation and ignition timing for knocking in relation with the crank angle, and sends a signal to a distributor 4 on the basis of a signal inputted from the detector 2 to cause the discharge of a plug 5 at the timing for normal operation or at earlier timing for knocking. The pulse laser controller 10, on the other hand, detects oscillation components due to the knocking and the two-pulse laser light emitting device 19 emits pulse laser light at specific set pulse intervals corresponding to tops and bottoms of oscillations. |
