PURPOSE:To prepare an oyster meat extract useful as an assistant health food, by extracting oyster meat with hot water, fractionating the supernatant liquid with ethanol, and collecting the precipitate. CONSTITUTION:An oyster meat is added with distilled water, extracted under heating (at about 50-90 deg.C for about 2-3hr), and separated into solid and liquid. The obtained supernatant liquid (solid content; about 4-5wt%) is concentrated to a solid content of about 20-45wt% e.g. by heating under reduced pressure, and is added with ethanol to attain an ethanol concentration of about 75%. The obtained mixture is left at rest for several days, and the produced precipitate is separated, the dried with a drum drier, etc. (at about 120-160 deg.C) to obtain the objective oyster meat extract. The oyster meat extract is rich is glycogen, taurine, amino acids, Zn-containing thrombocyte-coagulation suppressing substance, etc. |
