The machine is composed of a platform table 1 on a support frame 2, which receives, at one of its ends, the cable to be stripped which firstly passes under a cutter 22 holder having a blade 21, so as to separate the outer protective jacket from the braid of the cables, then a channel 23 leads this cable between two rotary brushes 4-5 rotating in opposite directions, one anticlockwise and the other clockwise, so as to strip the copper wires from their insulating film placed on each wire, in order to turn these films into dust, which dust is sucked out towards a recovery vessel, the cable then being led via a duct 24 towards a draw winch 25 before recovering the metal forming the telephone wires. <IMAGE>
