PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of corrosion of metallic substrate by allowing a metal baser than the substrate metal to contact electrochemically with the substrate at near the weld zone of the substrate to a stud. CONSTITUTION:Corrosion of metallic substrate (automotive body) to be caused on account of insufficient painting by the existence of spatter at the stud welding is prevented. Namely, a metal for example, zinc alloy or the like, baser than the substrate, is contacted with the portion near the stud weld zone so that the baser metal is acted as anode and the substrate as cathode by rain water or the like, through which galvanic current flows and the baser metal serves as a sacrificial metal. For example, a stud 2 is welded to an automotive body 1, and a clip 3 having beforehand been secured with a corrosion inhibiting metal element 4 is fitted to the stud 2. When a groove is provided to the clip 3 and a molding 5 is fitted and detained therein, the clip 3 presses elastically the molding 5 toward the body 1. This elastic force presses the corrosion preventing element 4 toward the body 1, thereby closely contacting the element 4 with the body 1 and fixing the element 4 to the body 1. |
