<p>A continuous conveyor for eggs comprises a plurality of interconnected parallel rods. Synchronised shafts 14, 15, which have toothed wheels 16, 17 at their ends for meshing with the conveyor rods, are disposed at the ends of curved portions of the conveyor, drive being transmitted from one shaft to the other by a chain 18 such that the conveyor is tensioned between the shafts.
