PURPOSE:To obtain a high output similar to that of a head having many windings by providing the 1st thin film coil interlinked with the 1st magnetic path including a main magnetic pole and a medium to form a closed circuit by itself, the 2nd magnetic path interlinked with said coil and the 2nd coil having more windings than those of the 1st thin film coil and interlinked with the 2nd magnetic path. CONSTITUTION:A signal magnetic flux generated from a vertically magnetized signal is cooled by a main magnetic pole 14. The signal magnetic flux is changed timewise by the relative movement between a medium and a head, a reproducing voltage of v1=dphi/dt is induced in a thin film coil 15 interlinked with a main magnetic pole 14, a current corresponding thereto flows to the coil 15 to induce a magnetic flux to the closed magnetic circuit comprising ferromagnetic thin film 17 and a ferromagnetic base 11. The 2nd thin film coil 16 is interlinked with the close magnetic circuit and a voltage of N-v1 is generated, where N is the numberof turns, and the voltage is a equivalent to that of an N- turn coil formed at a position where the main magnetic pole 14 and the 1st thin film coil 15 are interlinked and a vertical reproducing head with a very high efficiency is realized. |
