PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a transformer by detecting a terminal voltage, controlling an exciting current by the terminal voltage to reduce the exciting current to decrease an armature winding current, thereby reducing the size of a rotary electric machine body. CONSTITUTION:The middle terminals aq-aq', bq-bq', cq-cq' of armature windings 1, 2, 3 and the terminals of the secondary windings 11, 12, 13 of a transformer 4 are respectively connected through rectifiers 14, 15, 16, outside terminals ap, bp, cp are connected with wire 18, and the primary windings 6, 7, 8 of the transformer 4 and phases ap, bp, cp are connected through a capacitor 5. A controller 9 detects the voltage of the wire 18, a control element 20 of a controller 19 is controlled by an error between the value and the set value to control to reduce the rise of the exciting current at a load time. |
